New here & seeking flywheel recommendation
Hello all. I had small block Camaro's ,in the past, and now have a '68 with a 396. It's got 3.42:1 rear gears and 10 spline input shaft on a M22 Rock Crusher. The stock clutch is on it's way out and I plan to replace it with a McLeod twin disc 6911-04.
For street driving, with an occasional trip to the strip, would I be better of with a lighter weight aluminum flywheel, or should I just resurface the existing flywheel?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Mike

Welcome to the Club, Mike.
IMO, I would stick with steel flywheel.
Alum design is generally for an engine running at 4K and above.
You have a BBC, meaning stroke, M22 and 3.42:1 gear for moving the mass.
I believe you're not going to gain much with alum.
But, others opinions may differ. We shall see, er, read.
