My camaro is at like 3000 rpms at 60mph so im thinking a O/D tranny might make a good addition.
Is there a certain one i should be looking for? From a certain vehicle etc?

Post 85 and pre 93 is what you'll want to find. As for the swap itself, pretty sure you'll need a new crossmember and possibly a shortened driveshaft.

 

I just did a swap on my 67. Went from a 4 speed to 700r4. The best thing i have done in a long time. With 4:11 rear end my RPM at 60 was 3000. Now at 65 MPH the rpm Is at 2200. You will need a crossmember, shortened drive shaft, kickdown cable and bracket, and have a tranny shop wire the tranny.

 

Or you could use the 200r and not need to shorten the drive shaft. Little better spacing in the gear ratio also.

 

..I'm also interested in some info..what years was the 200r used and what factors would determined using one over the other..the engine??
