69 Camaro Horseshoe Shifter

PLEASE HELP? Installing horseshoe shifter. What size of hole do I cut in the floor to install the cable? The cable is for a POWERGLIDE TRANSMISSION. Thanking you in advance? Charlie

There is, or should be, a grommet on cable assembly.
Measure the detent for hole size.

I was thinking of starting a collection. Collecting all the unusable horseshoe shifters and maybe setting up a game of horseshoe shifter toss! Super Chevy are you watching????
