Wandering Steering
#11
The tie rod end is tapered, so is the hole it goes into. In order to get the nut started, it already has to be in the hole a fair amount. If you cranked the nut down to torque specs, there's no way it can't be seated correctly. And if all you did was pop it off and pop it back on, alignment wouldn't be affected.

The tie-rod checked out ok todday and tomorrow I'll be installating a new set of the NAPA 5804 shocks and rechech the ride height. I am also scheduled for an alignment next Friday.
A question comes to mind. Does anyone think the cause of the wandering steering could be the Power Steering Box? Perhaps I screwed up something when I replaced the pitman arm.
As far as tightening the sway bar I supporrted the weight of the vehicle with floor jacks under each lower control arm.

I wanted to provide an update. I replaced the KYB Monosocks with new Monroe Twin Tubes and took the car for a ride. It handled better and the front end lowered. I got an alignment today and after putting the caster, camber and toe back to specs the car handled better than before I replaced the above mentioned parts.
Thanks to all for your feedback.
