How To Raise 2" Drop Leaf Springs by 1" ??
Aloha from Maui,
I have a 67 Camaro, lowered 2" all around, with 2" drop leafs on the rear. I get some fender rub sometimes on the left side from bumps and want to raise the rear by 1". Are there rubber or prothane lifting blocks that can be placed under the leafs that would work?
I also drag race this car so need a solid mounted rear axle.
Many thanks,
Steve

Do some research on adjustable Shackles.
I have no idea what you mean by solid mounted axle. Do you drive the car on the street? You must have a suspension if you drive on the street. If the axle can not float in order to stay in contact with the road even a small bump would separate the tires from the road. Even during normal driving that would end badly for your. Even true race cars have some type of rear suspension to help control launch.

Here are my thoughts on this. First, like Gorn said shackles might be the way to go, look into those.
I don't like blocks under the rear to lower or raise a car. To me that's unsafe.
What condition are the leaf springs in? If you got a weak one, no matter what you try, it's always going to be weak on that side.
In the "good old days" we used air shocks to lift the rear up a little, but they are no go if you want to race.

Hi Bruce,
Just want to say thanks for your response. I had a feeling padding the leafs was not a good idea, so thank you for that. They are fairly new and in good shape. I did check out shackles and seems like there are some that would work, provided they are strong enough to withstand launches.
I'm also thinking about height adjustable shocks, but that's an expensive fix. I have QA1 adjustable damping but not height adjustable.
Many thanks,
Steve

I'm looking for the same thing. I just bought a 67 Camaro, with 2"drop in the front and 1 1/2" drop in rear. My rim size are 17x8 in the front and 17x9.5 in the back.
In the back the tire and rim have hit the wheel well. What to rise both by 1". Plus I hate bottoming out on speed bumps.
