Default Help needed on 68 rear leaf springs

We want to lower the rear on our recent addition of a 68 SS 396 back to the stock/factory height. The rear tires stick outside the well and the car sits about 2 inches higher than stock. Currently has aftermarket wheels and we want to put rally wheels back on the car. It has 5 springs and appears to have stock shackles, I think. There are no markings on the springs so I have no idea what they are. I have no clue what the spring rates are, did they have them re-arched, etc. Wanting to keep it factory original.

Do I bite the bullet and order factory spec springs and hope that lowers the rear? Do I remove the springs and get an elephant to step on them until I get the correct height? I'm kinda rambling but I hope you guys have some insight.

TIA.

You want the 4 leaf ones = Z-28 = lower
I want your 5 leaf ones
Mine are mono leaf and I want to raise my rear ride height
I would not put the single leaf behind your big block

Thanks for the reply. I don't know if the factory was 5 springs, 4 springs, etc. I've looked at several local Camaros (all of them have been small block) the same year and some have 5 springs, two had the aftermarket mono spring. Researching for answers and I get numerous conflicting info. Anybody know where to find some answers?

Pretty sure the factory was 4 springs if not mono.
