yea, it was butternut yellow. the wife never liked it.
just ordered a whole bunch of stuff last night. the whole pedal clutch assembly, lots of interior parts and the rear shock patch panel and right trunk extension.

i think we're a little confused here.
she never liked the original butternut yellow when she got the car in '77. so, in '77, she had it painted '74 corvette yellow which is much brighter. it's been the corvette yellow all these years, till i started striping the paint off..........tonight

what happens when you have paint stripper and temps in the high 40's?
you get paint that doesn't remove very easily. unless you talk to the right person.
a good friend of mine gave me a tip. first, scuff the paint with a DA using 40 grit. then, lay the stripper on heavy ( HEY NOW ! ) and then cover it with plastic wrap. the fumes are held in with the chemical making it more active. and i'll be damned, it works ! check it out! you can even see the brush strokes where i put it on too thin.
