2" propain. I didn't save the design or the measurements. If you'd like I can email them next weekend.

Thanks Coconuts. Some think I should give my head a shake

When I got to the shop I discovered that someone cut the air hose and just left it like that. That was a **** off, but I fixed it. I got the passenger side all undercoated ready for the quarter panel. Since it was pretty cold today I decided to just fit the quarter and weld it next week when the undercoating is dry.

I decided to weld nuts onto the broken studs on the bottom of the door post pieces I removed to fit the rockers.

I got them red hot then eased the rusty old studs out

Here they are all sandblasted too.

Yeh any info would be greatly appreciated, I was going to build one I found on line, but yours looks alot easier to lift the car from the ground. Shoot me a pm if you could, thanks

I joined the thread late. Nice job so far. I'm also restoring my 69 and am also getting parts from Golden Leaf. Good guys. I think we might be on the road about the same time. Look forward to the next update.

Man, great work!

I don't have the time, patience or willingness to part with all that money that you do.

I'm envious. You're gonna have a brand new car when you're finished. Again, great work, another one comes back to life!

Thanks. Aside from motor and tranny Im doing all the work myself so the monetary investment is minimal compared to what Im getting. As for the time Im spending, Its a hobby and hobbies take time. I may do another one after this one. :-)

I went to work on the car this weekend and this huge rocket engine thing was in the way. So I started to wheel the car over to the other side of the shop and 2 of the 6 air tires blew out on my rotisserie. I’ll have to put solid wheels on. I guess the car is just too heavy.

Since I couldn’t move the car safely I started stripping the hardware out of the doors. These are original. I may not even need door skins. Ill know more next weekend when I sandblast them

I went home to work on the car today. I brought the new fenders I bought last week. Here they are

The driver’s side is banged up and buckled a bit. I didn’t check it when I picked them up because I haven’t had an issue up to now.
Anyway I’ll see what my supplier will do for me during the week. It was a bit of a **** off.

So my brother said there might be a fender in the “old trailer” that he plans to scrap. So I pulled everything out.
There was a fender, a tail panel, 2 door skins, 3 bumpers, 2 trunk floor drop offs. 2 outer rockers and wait for it….. a cowl hood ALL GM new parts 20 years old but new GM parts.
Also found 2 consoles, 2 sets of seats, front and rear window and tons of hardware and chrome. WTF?

He said I could take what ever I need. I take the 2 skins and the hood. I think I’ll blast the rest and prime them and store them.
That’ll be next weeks activities.
