I have been collecting parts for years to get to the point where I could do this. I would never be able to afford pulling this together out of the blue. Like all projects it is 20% buying parts for the future, and 80% dreaming about that future. Main Street BodyWerks does the work at a flat rate per actuat hour worked on the car. You cam ask them to put the brakes on if you need to in order to get caught up. He bills me monthly as he goes.

Default Reality

This build has not been for the faint of heart. I know I have invested enough in time Money, parts labor and sweat to purchase a new car. This will be better than it was new. I just see people buying one of these or any car for that matter and saying they are going to FIX IT UP, and I just know they have no idea they type of time and money they are talking about. My Blog has not been running on here that long, but it has actually taken me years to get to this point. If I were still married, I still would not be to this point.

The painter was laying out the black stripes on the fenders and the header pannel, which is why they are not shown here.
The red is actually darker than it shows here. The shop lamps and the cheap camera do not do it justice.

Check out this 67 at a European car get together. The marker lamps are correct for Germany. It is the law. He did a better job with his than they did with mine. Mine had these little cheese box round lamps.
