Ok The sheet metal is fitted and marked, so now it is time to blow it all apart again so the underside can be media blasted and inspected.

The floor was a wreck. The Germans had cut everywhere! What was not cut was cracked. What was not cracked was just plain missing. (the straps that hold the tank to the trunk floor was completely gone.

I purchased a complete floor pan from NPD. For the money, they could never repair the damaged floor for ten times what it cost to install a complete floor. It would also look like Frankenfloor when they were done.

You will notice that the guys at Main Street Body Werks Welded in a Steel structure to protect the integrity of the car. The Floor is structural, and the bodies can tweak if it is not supported. The last thing you want is for your new baby to go down the road crabbing like an old NOVA.

That is a point where it would have been great to get into the dash to run wires, and every thing else. Too bad it wasn't possible.
Then the floor had to go in. SO LONG GLASS BOTTOM BOAT!!!!
The old lady got a tummy tuck!

You can really see the support structure here. If you notice, The dash has had 40 years of drilling on the firewall welded up. Look real close at the heater box area. The car has a Big Block Heater Box, so the small bloch holes were removed. Real subtle, soft changes like this make the car individual. I think most who see the car will not even notice the change.

Remember the rust I talked about at the beginning. This was the last removed by the guys at Main Street BodyWerks.
They do a great job blending in the patch to save the factory dash pannel.

Looks like a great start should be pretty solid now.

Default Suspension Rebuild.

Indy Powder Coating did the Subframe and A frames. Even the Factory Spindles. ZThey look great, and rebuilt well. The Springs are Hotchkis 2" lowering and the Shocks are Hotchkis (Biltsen).
