Have you ordered your weather strip kit yet? I used SoffSeal because that is what my local Camaro parts place uses, but I've heard good stuff about Metro Supersoft and it's cheaper.

One thing that just came to mind about your choice on stripes. Just remember, if you decided to go with the hockey style stripe, up front, the stripe is split where the motor emblem goes. What emblem are you going to put in there? If you go with 250, make sure the mounting studs will be the same as a 350 or 396 so that you don't have to redrill new holes.

Are you keeping the Rally wheels on it?

The car is going to be killer when it's done.

See ya.

Thanks guys for the feedback. She is looking sexy. Going to have the stripe on her next week. I got the weather striping for the local shop. Turned out to be the Soff Seal.

I've got to slow down after this. I've overshot the budget. I'd like to upgrade the brakes to discs and get 15x7 rims. Also get a fresh interior. I know it's going to be the standard black. I'm always looking at motors now. I can't believe some of these new crate motors.

Post some more pics soon.

keep the 6 it stands out in an endless sea of v8 first gens i love poping the hood on out 67 convertible with the 250 inline 6 and man the looks it gets because everyone expects to see a v8 with a floor shift while the car is a 6 with a column shift powerglide. I love the cortez silver with black it looks rich and classy.

Thanks for the comment. This one has the 2 speed powerglide but the shifter is on the floor. I got lucky there. For me that's one of the coolest things about these cars.
