Car looks good. Bet you can't wait for it to be all in one color?

Mine was originally Cortez silver and makes me wish I would have painted mine that color.

Here's a picture of your color combo and it looks good.

OMG! I love that look. Thanks for the photo. I didn't know that about the blacked out tail pan. Someone told me that the car would look better like that. When I saw the pictures I agreed to do it. I didn't know it was reserved for BB. Oh well... I guess I might have to get the 396 now. LOL

Would I be out of order if I didn't put the antenna back on the fender? I was thinking in the glass.

Here is the thing, it's your car, you do what you want to it.

Now if it was a piece of history like a Z-28, SS, RS, I'd say no put it all back to stock, but it probably was a family car, like mine was, so if you want the antenna in the windshield, do it.

In fact, I deleted my antenna and I like the look much better. It's a clean look.

Are you putting all the factory exterior trim back on, like the "spears" or rocker panel molding, the quarter panel louver's, wheel well trim?

Even though mine is set up for drag racing, I had to put that stuff back on. It completes the look of the Camaro in my eyes.

Looking forward to seeing the car in one color.

I pretty much want it to look like the photo you sent. Mine will have the cowl hood and the standard grill and I don't have the bumper guards on mine. I really like the exterior trim. I think all Camaro's should have at least the quarter panel louvers. I still have to order all that stuff. Could be a while.

I'll post more pictures soon.

How's this picture, standard grill, cowl hood, silver and hockey style stripe
and don't you have rally wheels?

Here is something for you to think about. The standard grills came in
either black or silver. The factory would use a silver grill and silver headlight
buckets and then they trim it out in silver.
I like the look if you use the black grill and black headlight buckets and everything
is black.

That's how mine is going to look. No antenna, black grill hockey stipes and rally's.

I was at the shop today and the car's coming together pretty quick now. We put in the fuel line, all wiring harness as well as hooking up all the other electrical under the hood. I still need to order a bunch of small stuff for the exterior including the weather stripping for the doors and trunk. I should have it home soon.

Hi guys I'm back for a short update. The car went to the down draft booth today. The next pictures should be of her all painted up. But for now I've got the farewell photos of her in primer.

Even in primer the car looks nice and straight.

Now comes the slowful pain and suffering, of waiting for your car to get out of paint prison.

It's going to be a nice car when it's done.

Here she is back from the down draft booth. Wow! What a difference from two months ago. Jason and his team did a great job. I couldn't have done it without them. I still have to get all new weather stripping and interior but at least the hard part is over. Still have to put the stripe on her.

Looks real good!

Have you ordered your weather strip kit yet? I used SoffSeal because that is what my local Camaro parts place uses, but I've heard good stuff about Metro Supersoft and it's cheaper.

One thing that just came to mind about your choice on stripes. Just remember, if you decided to go with the hockey style stripe, up front, the stripe is split where the motor emblem goes. What emblem are you going to put in there? If you go with 250, make sure the mounting studs will be the same as a 350 or 396 so that you don't have to redrill new holes.

Are you keeping the Rally wheels on it?

The car is going to be killer when it's done.

See ya.
