Is there anyone here who has or know where to find old pictures of these cars in action. Detailed pictures of brakes, suspensions, roll cages, absolutely
everything of information is of interrest.

Dang, I see those (not necc. ZL1 factory racers, but 69 race cars) all the time at events, I stopped bothering to photograph them. Next time I will take some photos for you if they have a 69 at the VARA Big Bore Bash. Are you interested in a specific race car?

Meanwhile, Hemmings and Vintage Motorsports magazine has a lot of stuff on vintage race cars, as will VARA and HSRA club forums.

Of most interrest is pictures of the FIA homologated dry sump oil system. GM had a part number for it, 3965712, but GM heritage center cant help
with pictures or drawings of the system.

Have you you checked on the Sovern and Vintage racers cars .Or if you have any races locally.for a start, That is where I got a lot of ideas for my 1979 Z-28 RS Pro-Touring car.

 

Also try The HAMB. Lots of old-school gear heads on that site.
