I'm trying to tighten up a 1969 Camaro Coupe, and one of the areas that needs some work is the environmental sealing: weatherstripping and the like.
As it stands, there's a significant gap in the weather seal at the leading edge of both my door frames, above the door hinges, where the front corner of the window meets the top of the door and the frame. It looks like there should be some kind of wedge or other seal in there. I've looked at my manuals, and at products in the catalogs, and I can't figure out what goes there, if anything, or what it's called.
I'm not planning on driving the car in the rain, but there is a significant amount of airflow (and probably noise) that comes through that gap. I'd like to fix it. Can someone help me find the right part?
Here's a couple of photos that show what I'm dealing with. The gap is right at the point where the weatherstripping on the frame stops, just above the top hinge. With the door closed, you can see right through to the outside. With a little effort I can stick a couple of fingers through that space.
