Default Sound Deadening

I'm really ready to make my '67 a little quieter in the interior. Can anyone recommend the best sound deadener kit out there for first gen Camaros?
I see a bunch of stuff on Ebay but not sure what is the best. Thanks!

I did a '65 Chevy with something from the web that someone on a website I was on told me was just as good as Dyna Mat for at least a 1/3 less. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but I bought a double roll package and did my '65 with 1 roll and I still have the second roll to do my '67 when I install new carpet.

I'll see if I can find it. It had like alien heads on it or something. Blue. As I remember my hands were blue when I was done. =) But it was good stuff in my '65.

I know, no help. I'll find it and drop a photo on here for you.

I would Dyno mat it and also use paint /roll on bed liner. It both quiet and seals it. I have a 1979 Z28 RS Camaro with a supercharged small block ,

I used rubber roofing. very similar to GTMAT and 1/2 the cost
I run a SB stroker with long tube headers, straight 2.5 stainless pipes to the back

That sounds good guys. I need to find my box of the other half. When I switch out my carpet this Winter I'll seal & install the Dino-Mat stuff I have. It's got the rubber butyl backing to stick to the floor. On my '65 I coated the floor with Por-15 just to keep everything clean & sealed. I should have let is dry a little longer (I waited a week) before installing the matting. Oh well. It still worked.

Good luck with whatever you decide to use. That Lizard skin is a spray on "thin" layer of heat & sound deadener. It gets great reviews. Kinda pricey, but hey, what isn't these days?

FatMat is what I had in my '65. Same quality (numbers wise) as Dynamat but way cheaper. (I found my box sitting in the shop rafters waiting to be used) it was pretty good stuff at the time. Comes with a wooden roller (like dynamat) and fits flush to the floor or sides of the car. I can remember it was pretty quite in the car after I installed it.
Guess I'll use the rest of it this Winter when I swap out some new carpet.

Did you end up doing this yet? I am just finishing mine up, and used the Eastwood brand. it's like Dynamat but a fraction of the cost. i have/had some jute under the carpet in areas as well, but added 2 rolls of Boom Mat to fill in where there was no jute. i haven't had the car out yet, but, just sitting on the floor pan, on the boom mat, you can tell the echo from before is virtually gone, and none of the cold from the metal was detectable where the mat was. Rellay happy with this combo that i used.

did anybody who did this do their door panels? i have some pieces left over. i want to maybe add to the doors, but i'm not sure how much of a difference it would make.
