Default Replacing a heater core in a '67 w/air

The RS I just bought has a bad heater core. After looking at its location it looks like I have to remove the front fender or is their a simpler way? Thanks for any tips.

The heater core comes out from the inside of the car. But on A/C equipped cars (pretty sure yours is like the 69), removing the mounting nuts from the studs on the fender side require you to remove the inner fender, or drill an access hole. You may or may not want to drill a hole in your inner fender. A question, do you plan on using the heater? I bypassed, and eventually removed my heater core since i don't drive the car in cold weather.

Thanks for the reply Camaro 69. Since I live in mid-Michigan it gets very cold traveling to some of the fall shows so I need a heater. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and tear it apart.

that's really odd. I just replaced the heater core on my 1967 RS last weekend. It was more trouble than I expected. The front clip of my car was already off.

I used these instructions: http://www.worldwidecamaroclub.com/p...atcorerepl.pdf
