A Pillar installation
1967 Camaro
I've gotten different feedback on how the A pillar fits.. My car has a new dash pad installed and I got with the car two plastic chrome A pillars. I have played with installing them and they don't seem to fit. Do they fit under the dash pad or on top of it?
Maybe these are the wrong pillars? They seem to tall. If someone could send me a picture of how they are installed it might help.
Thanks, Ed

A pillar fit
Found the problem. After some research I discovered that some of the after market dash pads are about 3/8 of an inch to long on each end. The solution was to cut off about 3/8 of an inch off each end. There are some vendors that have the original and correct pad. Ricks states that their pads do not require any cutting, As I didn't want to have to replace my dash pad at this time I trimmed mine. Not the beast solution as you can tell that they were trimmed ( see attached pictures)
For those who are replacing their dash pad would be sure that you get one that does not require any cutting for the A pillar to fit.
