Good day! I just purchased a 68 and the interior door handle will not stay on. I can push it on with the retainer clip and it will work for maybe a pull or two but then loosens again. When I look at it, it seems like the retainer clip won't go all of the way to the end of the threads. When I compare the post to the window crank post, it is definitely longer. Is this post supposed to be the same size as the window crank post? Attached are the pictures. The longer post is the door handle and the shorter post is the window crank. Any help would be welcome as I'm already tired of reaching out the window to open the door.
