The heater & De-Ice control lever commonly break, which mine did. I found a replacement lever in Classic Industries. Was wondering what kind of luck people have had with this replacement unit and what advise you might give. Thank you.

 

I have read the lever works pretty good.
You should check the door the cable operates - make sure the cable is not kinked nor bent too sharply, door does not rub on heater case.
