Default Z28 Black Vinyl stripes install

I just completed the vinyl pieces on the windshield vents on my 68 Camaro. Having a hard time working with the cowl hood stripes, keep screwing them up. They are vinyl stripes from Phoenix Graphics. Any tips or ideas, i've tried the dry and wet install, apparently, I'm missing something.

Looks great,I bought a set for my '01 SS but planned to have some else install them.
I had a guy lined up to do it but he backed out on me, kinda PO'd because I had him lined up before I ordered.
I don't want to try it myself and even more so after reading this so I'm looking for someone else now.
Good luck with the hood!

Trust me its hard, this is my first time. They are not perfect, but looks great from 10 feet. The hood, im not sure how i will work that, I've tried the dry and wet install, working from the center out, working the top of the cowl first then the slope, i get about 80% and them all hell breaks out lol. I know at some point i will redo the rear. Good luck with yours. I'm still hoping someone has any suggestions on the hood.

I believe it, I did the CAMARO lettering on my Berger panel and that is the extent of my experience.
I have no plan to tackle the stripe kit myself.
I found out through a local Camaro club that one of the members owns a vinyl wrap shop, I hope maybe he can help me out given one of his competitors flaked out on me.

I've been trying to find someone local as well and seems no one really wants to do it.

rear stripes look nice.
Level hood, dewax it with alcohol, denatured preferred, but rubbing will do.
Soak heavily, with water as it should 'sheet' rather than bead.
Lay on vinyl, align with cowl panel, and use squeegee/credit card and squeeze out water?

I've tried both dry and wet install. Maybe its not clean enough, i thought i had it all right. Start from the middle of top of cowl and worked my way up and down the high side, then started down the slope a d thats where is got ugly. Im not giving up, but had to get more stripes ordered, wish there was a video for 1st gen camaro cowl hoods on this.

Although on a 2010, this is on a cowl induction hood and should be helpful to you.
