Default When should the parking lights be on?

68 Base Convertible- Parking lights work when in the parking light position, but turn off when headlights are turned on. Recently rewired with Painless wiring, but I think I had the issue before also. This doesn't seem normal. New switch didn't help either.

Thanks,
I had just taken out the switch to check continuity and decided it must be correct. Doesn't make sense, but I'll roll with it!

Are you saying you have no lights in the rear with the headlight on?

Nice example eagle64
I have the same car I think, new to me and the lights are all out getting ready to paint
I cannot check my lamp operation, but the bulbs sure should have dual filaments and stay on (means also having the T/S lamp function)

I assumed the 68 was the same for 67 as mine, perhaps not. Mine are off when headlights are on but do work as TS and in park light mode on headlight switch

The 67 owner's manual (Page 15) light switch instructions looks different from the 68 light switch's instructions (Page 20) so I think your 67 lights are

working correctly.
