Although I do agree that the engines are completely different beasts and the stroker was built to run I really can't say if it was built to run a higher rpm. I will say that when the short block was being built by my machine shop that I asked for it to be over 400 hp and this 350 in the car now is slow lol. Btw although my neighbor is on the wacky tobaccy he does know his stuff.

 

did you play with the selector switch to see if its failing. had a volvo tach on the netter that would show low rpms and i would have to move the switch just a tad and it would work normal. got a new tach in it now and no problems.
