Whats 327 worth

Large journal 327 engines actually get less than small journal. One would think they'd get more, but most the engine builders I talked to said the smaller journal sizes mean 200-300 rpm's higher revving. They all said they want small journals to build with.
I have a large journal 327 from a '68-'69 Chevelle in my Austin gasser. It was totally rebuilt with less than 400 miles on it, and I gave $1200 for it a couple years ago. From what I see around here a good running 327 will get around $500, and a bit more if it's got the old camel hump 2.02" heads, or if it's totally rebuilt, even more.
