Default What hose to buy for radiator to overflow tank

I recently purchased a 1969 Camaro with a 350. The clear hose (not sure if that is factory) that goes from the top of the radiator to the OEM overflow tank has hardened and is leaking. Did these cars come with a clear hose and if so, what should I replace it with? I like the idea of the clear hose for seeing what's going through it.

It was black thin wall rubber hose
Every 69 I have seen, has no stock overflow tank, and the hose just ran down the side of the radiator and clipped into a few tabs
Good on you for finding a old Camaro to purchase
I ran an overflow tank on my old 69 too
Yours night not suck coolant back into the radiator from the tank (mine would push coolant out but would not suck it back in)
Enjoy

This is as I recall as well on my old '69,I never had an overflow tank just a hose clipped on the side as stated.

1st gens just had a black hose running down side of radiator held by clip

If you want a "coolant recovery" (read not just overflow), install the 75 Nova tank and use a closed system cap. Simple install, drill 1 hole in fender lip to secure

With hoses, just take the hose to a parts store and match it up. ID is all that matters. You will buy it by the foot.
