The car is coming along pretty good. Are you missing floorpans? It looks like you are. Are you buying those as well? What are you doing next?

 

Well, when I get the body done, I'll jump over to the firewall and fill i the holes and smooth it out.
I do have to replace the floor pans but, just small section. I'm not going to buy the entire floor because I don't need it.
On a side note, I discovered the original green paint along the fan hosing under the fender. Here's a shot.

The front end does need some work. Both fenders were damaged before and I need to hammer them out once I strip the paint off.
As for the green... it is nice. But, I'm going with a much wilder paint scheme for this car.

The motor going in is from a '86 vette and here's a couple of pictures. a) the day I brought it home b) what it looks like now.

No, that's the '84.
The one I have in Tuned Port Injection.

I know. I've heard horror stories about those Crossfire engines.
I'm just looking forward to figuring out the wiring on this thing so it'll run smooth.

I'm just glad to see my car all 1 color again. Something about primer grey that just makes a muscle car look good.

 

Just had numbers of issues couple months ago wouldnt stay started. I found out it was the fuel filter on the pump in the tank. Gotta love forums bc I found out that u dont need to drop the tank to do the change.

 

I talked to the guys at PAW and they said a lot of guys frame-mount an external pump so you don't have to drop the tank anymore. I guess it mounts on the frame right next to the tank. Some of the pumps from Holley and Edelbrock can run as high as 80 lbs.

I got some more work done today. It's going to rain tomorrow and for the next few days so I'll have to find some aluminum parts to polish to keep me busy. Otherwise this thing will never get done.
