UPDATE : I just purchased another Camaro. It's a 69. It will be delivered by the end of the week. I'll post some pics when I get it. It's going to need the interior done over but the body is sound and was just painted. BTW..... I ran into tazinhawaii at a local car show this past Saturday......That car is incredible !!!! There were people buzzing all around it asking multiple questions, I wish I had enough money to purchase it. To say it was impressive would be an understatement !!!

Pictures of the new camaro coming soon............

Cool. Was it an ebay or a craigslist find, or? Was taz getting any nibbles on his car? I see he re-posted it on ebay.

Default Found another 69

It was on Ebay. I made him a offer and he called me and said yes. He seems like a nice guy, but you never know. Stay tuned.......

Taz had a lot of people interested but just tire kickers. He's a nice guy. We talked for a while. He mentioned that his wife has a real matching number superbee in the garage. He asked her to sell it so he could pay the bodyshop bill but she said no. He still owes a sizeable chunk of coin on the restoration. He did relist it on ebay and started it at his reserve. He's going to take a big loss and I think he knows it. What a shame.

Yeah, those sight-unseen deals can be risky. You already know how it was when talking to the seller, then going out to see the car in person. I've been there too "are you sure this is the same car we were talking about on the phone"? I hope it pans out for you.
And it is too bad about taz' car. His requires just the "right" buyer, and one who can appreciate all that's been put into it. I think he got away lucky with the wife, mine prolly would have given me a frying pan over the head.

I think the only way I can keep my sanity until it arrives is by reminding myself that I have ebay buyer protection upto $50k. I'm also thinking that the worst case senerio is I just do a total make over kinda like Orocker was doing with her 69. That really wouldn't bother me too much. I already have a lot of 69 parts that I had from my last 69 so I'm thinking the worst and hoping for the best. If it's somewhere in the middle thats good enough.

I just got these pictures from the guy I'm buying the car from. I thought I would share them. These pics were taken this morning after the car got wet sanded and buffed. Don't worry about the rims, I already have brand new torque thrust wheels with brand new tires on them in my garage waiting to go on.

Hey, looks very nice. Here's to hoping the rest of the car is as good as the outside looks. Since you don't want the wheels, you wouldn't mind if I went over there and snagged them, would you?
