Default Throttle rod problems

Installed big block (502) in 67. Now my throttle arm has no travel as it hits the back of the block. Solutions? Also, wiper motor ain't gonna fit either. Solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used the stock small block frame mounts when I swapped in a 427 to my old '69,not sure if that would be a fix or not.
Isn't the 502 a tall deck like a truck block 366-427? Thinking that may be part of the problem.

Convert it to a cable throttle setup.
