Default Throttle linkage question

I have a 67 RS with a 327 and I'm trying to keep it original. I'm installing a Rochester 2gv and I can't figure out where the return spring goes. It was originally connected to a bracket on the coil, but the shop manual has it connected to the choke housing. Can anyone share a picture of their setup?

The factory oil fill tube (front of the intake manifold) has an L-bracket attached to it, with a notch to hold the throttle return spring.
