Looking to install a Sun Tach in my '69 SS. Anyone with experience getting this on the steering column? With the angle of the dashboard, it doesn't look like it can be done.

Column install will work, just looks out of place. Put it on and see before hooking up.

 

No way is it going to fit at the top of the column, you'll have to hang it to the side, or cut out the center panel of the gauge cluster. On mine, I installed a 3.5" Sunpro tach, shallow model that's only 2" deep. This one fits just right, on top of the column, without the dash being in the way.

 

Can you tell me a little more...You have it mounted on the column? Off to the side or straight up? I assume you also have a '69. Also, it's a "Sunpro" tach? I'll search for it on Google...

Not finding mine either. Bosch bought Sunpro in 2012, I bought my tach way before that. I'll have to look and see if Bosch has something similar to mine.
And yes, mine is a 69, tach mounted center top of the column.
