Default Subframe Reinforcement Connectors

I found these on ricks camaro, has anyone used these yet? are they worth the $200. I am not going to be racing so I wouldn't need anything stronger. I just want a little support and maybe a little added safety if any.

says no welding required

think they are talking about the flex or twist. have you noticed when you rev the motor you will sometimes see the body move or flex.

oh and NICE car you have.

The subframe reinforcement connectors are used to help stabilize the undercarriage during high points of acceleration

A factory equipped car, with a modest engine doesn't need subframe connectors. At most the car might feel a little more stable (less body flex), while going down the road. But once you add a bit of h.p. to the engine, and start romping on the thing, you could wrinkle the drivers side sail panel, or crack a windshield from the body flex. Weld-in connectors are the best way to go, but bolt-ons are better than none at all.

thefley....

not familiar with the Ricks brand, but have Hotchkis subframe connectors on my 68 which coupled with Comp Engineering traction bars and front and rear Hotchkis antisways made a huge difference in the handling under road conditions and performance acceleration.. Before the mods the car had sway or what I call a bit of float in cornering even at normal highway speeds. you will like the subframe connector concept, but not sure about this brand.
