Default Sub frame swap

I have a 68 rs convert and am going to slowly start to restore it. My question is this. I have a what I remember to be a 72 front sub with disc brakes and I was wondering if it would be close to the same as the 68. If so I work at a place that powder coats so I will do it up good from there. thanks for any info!

I believe the subframes differ after 1970 for camaros. If the subframe was from a nova, it would fit, with slight alterations for the bumper bracket, I believe.

Thats a bummer. I know that all of the steering is different, but would any of the disc brake stuff work? What year novas would I need to use?

The second gen convertion was comon back in the 80's but that was improved handling the 69 had disks all the parts are out there for a direct bolton in used, new and several levels of upgrades. Infact all the part are now out there to make the first gen sub better then the second. Heck you can get bolton Rack & pinion. Bolton tubular control arms. I think you can even get a 1G reverse arc kit for it. But if you are doing a rag top that all a waste of money, the car flexs to much for any of that stuff to help.
