Stupid Me....

I did something the other week that was pretty stupid.
We had a Father's Day car show at our church, so I was getting the car all pretty and at the last moment, decided to lower the rear ride height down an 1" to match the front, so I did and everything looked good.
Well my pastor wanted to go for a ride and it was actually the first real long drive that I made in the car, so I was anxious to see how the car ran.
So I had about an 1/8 straight away before it hit into a curve, so I dropped it into low and hit the gas. The car had some good power and it was pulling and then I hit second and then it had a bad vibration in the steering (time for a front end alignment!).
I got it slowed down and went into the curve and hit it again. This time we were hearing a rubbing noise.
To make a long story short, I loaded the car up and my coworker said, hey did you see the driveshaft is right up against the safety loop?
DUH.....someone forgot, when I lowered things, the body comes down but the driveshaft doesn't and I sat the safety loop on my rear frame on top of the driveshaft.
I got it cut out and luckily no damage other then the paint being rubbed off of the shaft, happened.
But boy, did I have me some fun....
