I used dynamat xtreme on my Vette. I used almost 3 full bulk packs I bought off EBAY. It makes such a difference on these cars. 95% of the random rattles you generally hear is eliminated and the car feels more solid.

This was on a 65 vette, and I covered the floor, firewall, kick panels.. everywhere. No unsealed seams anywhere. You car would probably be at LEAST twice as much dynamat to cover, so keep that in mind.

I used peel n seal. Got it from Lowes $20 for a 100' roll. It will smell a bit (like tar)for the first couple of weeks, but after that you cant tell the difference. I have had it in my car for over 3 year, and its great! Just mentioning a cheaper alternative.

I use different types of Dynamat in different areas. nothing to do with being better than any of the others, it's just my preference

Saw on a car show the other day restoring a project, they used the spray on/ roll on truck bedliner on the underside and on the inside floors. I am going to try this, should give youa nice sealed thin rubber protection inside and out. Not sure if it would actually help dampen sound though.

I build high-end stereos and found that bedliner is the best thing to use. The system in my 69 is worth well over 15k. I painted bedliner under the car, in the trunk, and under the carpet. No rattles and much nicer drive. Best of luck.

just be sure you aren't going to want to replace anything that the stuff is sprayed on in the future because it will be a SOB to get it off
