Default My cool new Camaro sign

Found this old 1968 Advertising piece on FB Marketplace. Research shows its a rare promotional poster used in the 1968 Camaro-A-Day sweepstakes program run by Chevrolet. It was mainly a ploy to get prospective customers to fill out an application card and get on a dealers mailing list. The catch was, that they didn't really give away a camaro a day,but it enticed a participant to try to get closer on the final list. Most of the winners pulled got a blender or similar appliance, and not a Camaro.
Anyway it's a neat authentic vintage item and 50 years old. It's made of heavy cardboard and measures 42 X 24 inches and has wear along all four edges. It has eight eyelets and was meant to be displayed outside, flapping in the wind and in harms way. Somehow this one survived.

The guy that sold it to me told me he was on American Pickers a couple seasons ago so I looked up the episode and low and behold part of it is actually shown in the episode. I thought that was a neat little addition to the story. You can see Mike Wolf walking by it in the picture. He told me Frank Fritz offered him $25 for it but of course he wasn't crazy enough to entertain such a offer.
Anyways, I thought my Camaro friends might be interested in seeing it.

Picture frame shops are really expensive, maybe a small local cabinet shop can help you out. I did cabinet work for decades and made a few frames in my day.

Another thing you can do is measure it and then go to a goodwill with your tape measure, you might find a picture the same size with a frame on the cheap.
