I recently found a 1967 base 6 cylinder Camaro that’s been sitting in a barn since 1999. It’s a Van Nuyes car that’s completely original right down to the original California smog pump.
We’ve decided to sell the engine and smog stuff but I’m not sure what it’s worth. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Really? I didn’t catch that. Maybe it’s really an SS396 that someone turned into a 6cyl?
i don’t think the cowl tag designates 6 or 8 cyl. I think it’s the 3rd number in the vin. This one is a 3 for 6 cyl. I think 4 is for 8 but I may be wrong.
You might want to check out the CRG web site for an explanation of the 67 trim tag style code. It seems that the third digit represents a standard or custom interior. I believe you're confusing this number with the third of VIN that represents a 6 or 8 cylinder engine.
