Default Smaller wiper motor options?

has anyone used a smaller wiper motor? The stock unit interferes with the tall valve covers. 454 with roller rockers. Any help appreciated!

Bummer,
Put a small dent in the cover?
That is lousy, as I am planning a BBC conversion on mine and want to run roller rockers too
Might have to use a steel Lunati roller tip rocker instead of a full roller rocker and a shorter cover?
I know of no other wiper motor that will fit the car

There is a company that makes a kit that goes in the cowl, for about $850!!!

I've come up with the idea to flip the stock motor upside down. It now clears the valve cover. Just have to flip the arm 180 degrees and we should be in business!

I'd like to see that kit
We could maybe fab one up ourselves way cheaper using the same or similar parts that are in the kit?
The upside down one would at least look stock
Hos bout the washer pump? Boes that clear? I was planning on a different tank in mine with a pump in it

Hmm... minor confusion. Here is my big block, WITH full roller rockers, and a new and very standard wiper motor, and no issue with clearance. Is a 454 dimensionally much larger than a 396?

I do see yours is a 1967 while mine is a 1968. Perhaps there is a major difference in wiper motors between the years?

These valve cover are much shorter. I think the main issue is the height of my covers. I think finding the right valve cover is key.... Unfortunately already tossed the box on mine....

Raingear wiper systems makes the kit. Classic performance products sells it. Also, Camaro central sells a slimline wiper motor, but it's for a '68. Not sure if it will work on '67.

Those sure are some nice looking valve covers 1st Gen
He has tall covers on his
With a stud girdle and guide plates you usually cannot run a stock height valve cover
You need spacers or tall covers
So, on yours 1st Gen, with full roller rockers and no clearance issues... What rockers are you using and do you have guide plates?

Also keep in mind there is a lot of variation in these cars. I have had to beat firewalls in with a hammer a good 1/4" to get a HEI clearance. I have seen cars with a 3/4" clearance to the fire wall without doing anything.

That is what I have noticed
A HEI would not fit my 69 Z-28 (without the beating) but does fit my current plain jane 68 that had a 327 or 350 without the beating
That's quite a nice collection of Camaros Gorn
