Shock tower help!!
I have a 67 that I have boughtas someone's project.I have replaced the shock tower's and drilled the large and small holes from the existing plates that were not removed. The car came with the wrong rear-end out of a 70 model. Of course the leaf springs were bowed out and they tried to mount multi perches to mono springs. I have bought a 70 nove rear end with the correct mono pads. The lower spring perches that came with these do not look correct. They are a single plate with a curve up and a hole. Will these work? Seems that I would have to bolt up the T off the shockto the trunktowers and then a single shaft to the spring perches. Will it line up?What actually mount to the shock towers for a mono, the T or a straight shaft? Thanks.
it sounds like you are describing the mounting plates and not the perches?
the spring perch is welded to the axle tubes (and yes, they are different from mono to multi)
and the mounting plate bolts from under the rearend and the shock bolts to it

I really appreciate the help. Yes I described some things incorrect. The Spring perches are now correct for my mono leafs. The width now measures correct with this rear end. The mounting plates that came with them have a curve with the hole. For a 67, does the bottom of the shockuse the straight shaft, and the T mounts to the top? The reason I ask is that I haven't seen a mono set up yet. When I welded the shock tower sheetmetal I noticed an oval ring with a large hole that's threaded. I assumed that it went on top of my new sheetmetal. Then I cut the large hloe for the shock toclear. Later I found what looks like the same plate size with a smaller hole that a straight shaft would mount to and then thread underneath tothe shock tower. So i don't know what actual shock to use( T on top, straight on bottom, Straight on top with a round bore and bolt to the mounting plate? This would mean I have the wrong plate) I appreciate the help. I know all about 70 models since I own three. This is my first 67. Thanks.
