Default Rear End Swap and Wheel size???

I have a 68 camaro and who ever had it before the person i bought it from put a Dana 60 rear end in it with a 4.56 gear. I am looking at going more to a street/strip set up with a pro touring car look (lowerd!) Anyways i have a two part question, I have priced a 12 bolt rear end at a local salvage yard out of a 73 truck. Will the 12 bolt fit as far as width under the camaro? Also i want to run the widest wheel/tire combo i can on either 18s or 20s, without tubing. So what would that be? Thanks for your imput.

The rear end should fit length wise. but the spacing for the mounts on the dana axle vs. the 12 bolt will be different. Hopefully you have a welder or know someone who can weld it for you. I have some 10" wide rims under my 68, but then I also have a narrowed 9" as well.
