Default Radio antenna

Where is a good place to put the hiden am/fm antenna and are you using a noise filter? What filter are you using?

Mine runs around the edge of the windshield. You can see it if you know to look for it but I forget it is there. The noise filter I used was a Realalisic from Radio Shack. Sorry I know that does not help.

As long as you used suppressed spark plug wires and resistor plug do you really need it? If you still get noise there is an issue with your alternator. AC compress can cause static but a simple diiodo will sort that out.

I say all this because the static in an old cars system will mess up any modern electronic system. It can fry a MSD box or a modern stereo and its not real good for your phone. The battery on the phone will work as a filter but it can have long term effects. I install my radio and filter back in 98 because back then what electronics would I hook to my car. It was when I installed my first amp an installer friend of mine warned me about older car. All newer cars with computers have a much cleaner power source and do not need to be cleaned up.

I have resistor plugs with MSD wires I measured resistance but don’t remember off my head. But good info. Thanks
