I am installing the dash tach/clock on my 1968 I purchased the tach and the conversion printed circuit board. It all went very smoothly except for one issue on the back of the tach there are 2 lugs marked + one connects to the circuit board one does not (see pictures). What do I hook up to the one that does not? Is that for the tach? Do I connect that to the negative side of the coil? Also if anyone has installed one what did you do to the lens to accommodate the clock setting arm? Did you drill a hole or buy a new lens?

Well I figured out what that lug that was not connected to the printed circuit was for. It is for the clock and must be wired to constant 12V. But the tach does not work. The strange thing is the tach is connected to the printed circuit which makes no sense because the car did not have a tach before so how could there be a circuit for it in the factory harness? Has anyone installed this in the past? How do I get the tach to work.? I contacted OER but have heard nothing back. Why don't these company's include detailed instructions? Even the console gauge wire harness instructions are very vague that is a whole separate issue I need to tackle next. You would think if they make these parts and charge quite a lot for them they would all be plug and play or at least include highly detailed installation instructions.
Finally figured out the rest of the installation so I thought I would post it here in case someone else needed to install one. There are 2 green wires located in position 2 in the dash pod connector (see photo) these are the temp sending unit wires. The idiot light for the temperature is no longer used and the new PCB sends that line to the tach. I removed those wires from the connector (if you do not remove them you will ground out the coil and car will not start. I then ran a wire directly from the negative side of the coil to the lug in the 6 o'clock position in the phot above. All works great now.
