Default Rack and Pinion vs. factory steering

Does anyone have any input on whether or not to install a rack and pinion setup instead of the factory steering box/drag link setup? Any input would be great!!!

what do you want to know? ove the last 5 years the racks have gotten better by leaps and bounds. all they used to do was retrofit Mustang II racks into many different cars, but there were major bumpsteer problem. now they actually design the racks for the Camaro.

they are a bit pricey compared to a good PS box but well worth the money, if you have a little mechanical knowhow

I guess what I would like to know is:

What are the benefits? Other than cost, what are the downfalls? ... That sort of thing....
