Default quick question, probably stupid, but here goes..

ok, i found a 68 that i can afford, but i like the grille, front lower valence, and front and rear bumpers of the 69 more... do i have to change the fenders/ fender extensions to the 69 model for this crossover? i was planning on a yenko clone for myself, doesnt have to look perfect to make me happy.. i know the rear panel and tail lights needs to be changed also, but that would be later on when i get the chance to do so. the camaro im looking at as i am told is a 68 triple black ss 396 with no motor or trans.. and i was planning on making it a 4spd... anyway, the question is about the front fenders needing to be changed to accomodate the 69 grille, lower valence, and bumper. thanks for the help and sorry if it is a dumb question, first muscle car, known in my area of expertise as a jeep guy haha.

sorry, they don't cross over. The 69 is actually a single-year model, with almost all the parts fitting it alone. (Actually, it is a year-and-a-half model, running well into the 70 model year with no changes.) You can swap seats, engines, and things like that, but not fenders, dash parts, interior parts, tail lights, or any sheetmetal parts.

The 69's fender lines won't match the 67-68 door. And the 69 is a little wider in the nose and tail. Be happy with the 68 (it's still a very nice model), or find a 69 if that's what you really want.
