Default Question about shifter

All, I am new to the forum and had a quick question. I have an old school 67 with a 4 speed Muncie M20 with an older Hurst shifter. It’s pretty loose feeling for lack of a better term. Are there any suggestions on a newer shifter and linkage that would work with this transmission that would tighten things up a bit.

You can get rebuild kits for Hurst shifters, there's also videos of "how to" but they're pretty simple.

The shift rods have nylon hat bushings at each end that wear out. Hurst sells a kit with hat bushings in nylon or steel & new spring clips. If you go with steel, you'll want to keep them lubed.
