Default Question on 1 wire alternator

Since my battery is in the trunk, do I have to run the wire from the alternator to the trunk or can I just run it to the starter?
Thanks Milan

You don't want to run it to the battery, as you'd need to use a cable instead of a wire due to the run length.
When I moved my battery to the back, I put a remote starter solenoid on the inner fender, and used that as my battery junction. Battery to solenoid, solenoid to starter and to the other power connections.
Second benefit of the remote solenoid is it does away with any chance of starter solenoid heat soak issues.
Here it is on the left side of the pic...

Thank you for the reply. Great idea on the remote solenoid.
