Default Protecto plate question

Can anyone tell me what number 518 signifies before Montpelier? Hard to read but its 518, Got rest of tag decoded but can't figure that number. Any help would be great. Oh ya, anyone know a Clark R. Williams probable in his 70's from Montpelier? Just thought I'd throw that out there just by chance. Nothing expected, but still wondering about that number.

I just looked at my plate. The second line is the address 518 Montpelier. The 3rd line on mine is the city, yours must have fallen off.

Without internet I never could have did it, but with some persistence and a little detective work I was able to use protecto plate info and match it with an address in Erie, Pennsylvania. Matched name with person who still lives there 50 years latter. Sent him a card with my information on it and a week later get a phone call. Found original owner from 1969. He talked to my wife and I am supposed to call him tonight after work. I'll keep posting after I've talked to him.

well finally talked to him. Sent me a photo of him and car in July 1969. Talked alot about what he did to car, from changing heads, cam , intake and carb right after he bought it to painting white strip florescent lime green so everyone would know who it was. Still lives in same town were he bought car. Had it for about a year then traded it into local Olds dealership for a 442 W30 model. Well this is the short version but it was real interesting

That’s very cool to have that history to go along with the car. Thanks for sharing
