Default Save the 6

I had a 6 in my ole 69 for 10 years with a 3 speed I bet it would have been more fun with a 4spd. Tuned right The old 230 was really no dog it beat many 289 mustangs in its day. Have since gone to a small block but had a lot of fun with the ole 6.

I'm going to be different and say keep the 6 cyl in it. Think how much gas you'll save over a big block and when those big block cars are filling their tanks back up, you'll still be on the same tank of gas....sounds like a good idea huh?
Nah, who am I kidding, my car was a 6 cyl and the first thing I did was pull the motor and prepared it for a big block.

On to the next phase. I have the car tubbed with DSE. Im wanting to go with a 9inch rear end. Im being told that not just any coil over suspension upgrade will fit with DSE tubs. because of frame rail issues.
Any suggestions?

Also, what is the shortest length of rear end that will fit DSE tubs? Im hoping to go with 18x12 rims and 335 DOT tires. 12 inch rim might require a little more clearance into frame rails though.
Havent bought anything yet so can change if needed.
