Nothing is Adding up (motor)
I saw that also but could not find AAS anywhere.
Well the block can remain a mystery haha But has anyone ever had the rong suffix / No vin? pistons that I have never seen used on any block (they do have a GM stamp)
Also I no they put the 3970010 blocks in most of the 1/2 ton trucks but to this day I have yet to EVER find a 4 bolt main in one.

Mystery solved!!

The 010 block is a common 4 inch bore block used for heavy duty and performance applications. It can be found on the 302, some late 327s and certainly the 350. It is can be found in both 2 and 4 bolt configurations the only way to tell is to pull the pan.
The stamping tells you this is a Flint built block (V) 0206 tells you February sixth of some year. The AAS confirms this is a Flint block made in 1975 or 76 (A); is a 350 made for a truck, bus, or industrial application (A); for service replacement (S). The lack of a VIN tells you this is not the original engine, it's either a warranty replacement or a crate motor someone put in. Given this is a 1975 or 76 built engine (this date can be different from the casting date on the block as we're talking when the casting was pulled from the warehouse, machined and assembled).
First time ever running into this so if anyone runs into it now you'll no.
This car the motor came from must have sat all those years right after the motor was swaped out. Now on to the build!!
