Hi all,
I am looking for any info that will help me get a title for my car. I have owned the car for 15 years and bought as bill of sale. It has the vin tag and cowl stamp intact. I have no way to contact the previous owner. The car was a drag car when they bought it too. I am no longer racing and would like to put it on the street. I have called the NCDMV and asked for a vin check. They could only tell me that it has never been listed in NC. How can I found out for sure that the car has not been stolen or anything shady with it? I have googled everything I can think of and the only thing I can find is really old info and suggestions for broadway title company (which doesn't work on NC). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

 

Keep use posted, I have no idea how it can be done but I do know that Bill of sale race cars sell for about half of what a titled car sells for so if you figure it out and share it I going to be making some money
