Well the factory carb was replaced by a 4 barrel Holley carb so I don't know what it originally came with. Is that really the only difference between the 210 HP and 275 HP engines? Excuse the ignorance (again I'm learning here), but swapping out the carbs to a 4 barrel carb will give you 65 HP boost?

yea, I figured the Original carb was long gone, dont know why I just kinda blirted that out. and no thats not the only way to tell, it was just the quickest. you need to get the casting numbers off the front and rear pads of the block. rear drivers side behind the head, front one is passengers side in front of the head. they are easy to see. then you can get more definite answers.

Glad to help. Another thing you want to check is to see if the engine is "numbers matching" to the body.
That adds to the car's value, or I should say not numbers matching takes away.

As stated in my first post, I was told it is a numbers matching vehicle. Even though I completely trust the family friend I purchased it from (who owned it for over 25 years), it's nice to verify these sort of things for yourself.

I totally understand that, I was also told by the person I bought mine from that it was numbers matching. and I believed him, he was not trying to mislead me. He got that info from the classic Car Dealer he bought it from. During the tear done of mine I have learned it was far from being numbers matching. I got such a great deal that it doesnt bother me. I never really cared if it was numbers matching or not to be honest because Ive wanted a 69 Camaro my whole life, the thought of NM never figured into the equation for me. If you really love your Camaro and enjoy it, the fact that its numbers matching shouldnt really matter to you. its more of a $$$ thing. If you were sold the car under the pretense that it was numbers matching and you feel that you over paid for the car based on that info then you should be upset. I hope you feel you got a fair shake and love your Camaro no matter.
