New (to me) 69 Camaro
Hey all,
Finally bought a "project" 69 Camaro (as I cant afford the "all done" Camaro). I will be getting it from Texas on Saturday. She needs LOTS of work, but she is mine...
I noticed one hokey thing. The car has a "sweep" style dash cluster in it??? As far as I know, there has NEVER been a sweep dash stock.
Any clues or help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Hello everyone......newbie here. I thoughtI would join in on this thread since I just got a 69 as well. My very first car in the 80's was an old 67. I loved it but I killed it.The car I have now is getting passed down to my soon-to-be-driving teenage son and decided to get myself an old camaro that my husband & I could restore. So.......one kind of fell into our lap.
We got it for $8000 with a brand new bumper and roll of black carpet. Body is in great condition with very little rust. Inside is trashed but has the original seats. Not sure what's in the engine or if there are any original parts. It does run but smokes alot. Gonna get started tearing it apart in August.

Camaros are awesome. Love the style. I've had '67, '70 and now a '69.
The body looks good except for that rear quarter. If the engine is smoking... time to rebuild. New rings!
Are you planning to restore or just fix it up?
This is what mine looks like right now.

I love them too, that's whyI have gone back to one. I can't see myself in anything else.
Def restore. And yes a rebuild is in order. I have alot to learn about this stuff. I have enjoyed reading this forum.....glad to be on board.
